How has the world you come from shaped your dreams and aspirations? My mother started an Adult Family Home when I was ten years old. I grew up with the wisdom and love elderly people radiate. Both my mother and father have always been supportive of me and have encouraged me to do my best in everything I try. My mother taught me the value of hard work and persistence. She showed about the power of love and caring for people. My mom was the one that gave me the idea of becoming a psychiatrist because of her background in health care. I want to be able to leave a legacy behind of that I gave my greatest effort in helping as many people as I could. I want to continue my mom’s business in addition to starting a Teen Rehabilitation center.

Of all the ways you could succeed in your life, why have you chosen to succeed in the Miss Auburn Pageant? The Miss Auburn Pageant is known for creating professional outstanding women and that is the type of woman I would love to become. I know that with the Miss Auburn Program my ideas about how senior citizens should be cared for and treated will be heard. The financial aid that I will receive because of this program will help me on my way to becoming knowledgeable about how I can make a difference in the medical system and its impact on seniors.

What social issue, other than your platform, will have the greatest impact on your generation and why? It’s sad to think about but the mass media has distorted the physical image of women today. I fear that younger girls are seeing these images and their self confidence drops. It’s the job of programs like Miss Auburn to be role models of how girls are supposed to be seen and to teach them to be proud of who they are regardless of their shape, size, or color.
